Phil Skiles has become one of my reliable “go-to” guys in recent times. Phil and I first started working together when he superintended for another general contractor. I was the Owner’s Representative on that project, and had the opportunity to monitor Phil’s work as he scheduled the work, managed his subcontractors and filled- in as needed with his own construction skills. During that project I found Phil to have good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. He communicated well with his subcontractors and built a camaraderie among the workers that prompted his subcontractors to want to do their best. He was considerate of our clients and staff (it was a remodel of a working clinic), dovetailed well with other subcontractors I had hired and generally ran an efficient, clean project. I subsequently have hired Phil to superintend a project for me in the City of Clearlake, where we worked together to convert a dental office into a satellite medical clinic. I have also hired him directly to complete a variety of smaller projects, all of which have been completed on-time with considered care and craftsmanship-quality work.
